Crisis Accommodation

As we know, life can be unpredictable. In those turbulent times in our lives, it’s easy to fall into a downward spiral and become vulnerable to homelessness.

This is where Carry On steps in to provide a stable foundation for veterans to assess the situation and determine the best course of action for support, which may involve connecting with other support agencies to provide mental and wellbeing support, assisting with financial pressures, or helping find permanent accommodation.

There are many situations where a veteran and/or their immediate family members may be:

Without a home

Homeless or at immediate risk of homelessness.

Medical

Pre-op or post-op where the benefit is their access to medical providers.

Relocating

In need of accommodation during the gap between their permanent housing.

Family

Accommodation for veterans needing family access, including supervised visits or long-distance separation.

Legal

Accommodation for veterans needing family access, including supervised visits or long-distance separation.

Visitation

Accommodation for families near hospitalised veterans, especially for those from regional areas.

Feel free to enquire if you feel you don’t fall into the categories above. Carry On can determine the most effective way to provide support based on individual circumstances.

The crucial role of positive male role models in our lives

With yet another Father’s Day upon us, many of us will celebrate our fathers or mourn the ones we do not. A father-type figure, however, is just one persona we look up to, and as we look back throughout history, we see the value that significant male role models of all kinds have played in the shaping of humanity and who we are as people.
